I Just wanted to say thank you very much for your help with our trip yesterday. The boat was super and had everything we could have wanted. We had a lovely day and really enjoyed our experience. I have the feeling that it may be a yearly arrangement now.

Thanks again.

Lyn Marklew. 31/10/2011

I hired two day boats from you yesterday and wish to say thank you very much. They were both clean and tidy, the best to hire anywhere! May I also thank you for your kindness when my car would not start and you helped me to get the AA out. I did appreciate it. It was my husband who had left the lights on.

Yours most sincerley.

Good afternoon to all at Norbury Wharf. My wife and I would like to say a very big thank you for all your help with buying our boat. We moored there only a short time but were made welcome very quickly. The friendly atmosphere you and your staff put out is second to none. We have now moved nearer to our home due to the dreaded M6! Big thanks to David who helped out on the lifting day which went very smoothly, we will definitely buy our next boat from Norbury.

Many thanks again and good luck with all of your future plans for the Wharf.

Kind regards, Paul and Anne. 02/09/2011

Hi Angela, Just dropping you a line to say how much we enjoyed our week on Ember recently. We managed the four counties in fine style - so thanks for the advice.

Kind regards, Alison 27/08/2011

On behalf of all my fellow owners, I would like to thank David, Simon, Angie and all other very friendly and helpful members of staff for your understanding throughout a difficult period for us all. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for the support that you kindly gave to the Luncheon for Macmillan Cancer Support, held at Befcote on Sunday 31st July.

The event was a great success and we raised in the region of £3,000.00 on the day.

My thanks again.

Wharf cottage has Super views, found this an ideal location. Trentham estate gardens well worth a visit, tasty food at the Red Lion, very friendly people.

Just to say thank you so much for sorting out our faulty battery which we left with you about a month ago. We had a phone call to say you were refunging our card for the full amount of the replacement one we had to buy. It is very much appreciate that you went to the trouble to sort it out for us. Norbury Wharf has a very good name amongst the canal boat owners and users and I can fully understand why. You are all very friendly and helpful and I just wanted to let you know how grateful we are. Many thanks again and here's hoping you have a really good season. Yours most sincerly.

Sheila and Mike Gilman. May 2011.

Hi, I recently hired your day boat and had such a wonderful time I'd like to book it again for an anniversary.

Andrew. March 2011.

Thanks for the guidance of coach route to Norbury Junction - all went well and most of my party had coffee with you. One said you had "cakes to die for"!

Joan and Ian Moss. March 2011.

You may remember that having broken down at your yard on 04/08/2010 my son and I subsequently needed your organisation to effect temporary repairs and source and fit a replacement alternator to our boat...

We were all very impressed with the welcome, and level of customer service your team provided.

I don't think enough people say thank you for excellent customer service.

So, thank you very much for your efforts in getting us moving again, it was much appreciated.

Yours sincerly

M and E Court. August 2010.

Just a quick note to say how impressed I have been with the service provided at Norbury Wharf.

I am a part owner on NB Yelvertoft and arrived for the first time on Friday to be met by smiling helpful staff that answered my queries so that I am now hopefully aware of the system that you operate. . .

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this and look foward to returning in August. The move to Norbury is proving to be very positive.

Thank you again.

Best wishes.

D. Cox. July 2010.

Just a note to say how pleased we are with the way the boat has been painted.

It has been beautifully done. Many thanks to all who did it.

Best wishes

Mr. Fordham. July 2010

A recent visit to Norbury Wharf, has left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. So much so, that I thought I would share my thoughts with others.

Staying at Wharf Cottage places you right at the heart of things. The lounge with it's big red comfy sofa's, stretches across the whole loft space at the top of the cottage and is huge. There is an open brick fireplace with wood and coal stacked ready to use if you fancy making a cosy fire later on. There is also a large kitchen dining area at one end. At every turn, where-ever you sit, your eyes will come to rest upon stunning views through the many windows that let the light flood in, giving you a sense of being outside. At the back of the lounge through the french windows, there is a large veranda, with table and chairs, perfect for sitting and taking in the surrounding countryside.

Looking down on the Wharf at the front of the cottage with its little Bistro and chandlery shop, is interesting to say the least. The narrow boats come in and out with silent precision stopping for services and supplies. The Bistro is buzzing with visitors taking tea and coffee or the odd glass of wine out on the terrace, and the surrounding flowerbeds are planted up with beautiful spring blooms and the grass is cut and edged to perfection.

Gazing down upon the scene, it's hard to resist going outside. There are many walks you can take around the wharf. Some of the boats have permanent moorings and have little patches of garden with vegetables and herbs. Across from the cottage is the Junction Inn public house with it's terrace and gardens. Looking from the Junction's terrace back across to the Bistro, it's easy to spot the tall dark commanding frame of Simon, the proprietor of Norbury Wharf, as he strides around keeping everything in sight; and David, his manager, who's expertise belies his young age. Always at hand to service the private boats as they arrive and to coach the people who have hired a day boat or a larger boat for the week from Simon.

The fishing is also very good here. I have it on good authority, that the canal is teaming with carp. I actually saw a man pull a 2lb Bream out yesterday, followed by a slightly smaller one. He told me he had only used sweet corn as bait! It's the simple things like that as you stroll around, that have you un-winding in no time at all.

The Bistro is still busy at 3pm and is headed by Jude, a partner in the business. Mick, another partner who is also Jude's husband, can be found in the dry dock, dealing with the repairs on the many boats that pass through.

The staff work seamlessly together at Norbury Wharf to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, and as I sit back with a nice glass of wine on the Bistro's terrace I think I may have stumbled upon a little piece of heaven. Thanks Guy's!
